February 2026

As we all take a little breath and welcome in the Full Moon in Leo this weekend (February 1) we reflect on the chaos we’ve witnessed throughout the month of January. Are we bracing for more? Well, yes, but the one thing I want to share with you is this: this isn’t chaos for chaos’ sake — it’s part of an awakening that doesn’t allow us stay comfortable. It’s purposeful.

Purposeful. Yes…. There is no progress without some upheaval and change and the more we, on the Spiritual Path, recognize how incredibly important our role is (be the lighthouse, not the storm) the more grounded we can become. That is essential for the month of February.

(Note: I do think March is more peaceful, by the way, and after April offers us some major choices, we’re good until August so it’s not going to be Toad’s Wild Ride for the duration.)

Let’s go deep on one part of the astrological forecast I think most people are missing: In February 2026, Uranus in Taurus forms powerful squares to the personal planets as they finish their transit through Aquarius. This creates a fixed square, one of the most stubborn, destabilizing, and ultimately liberating configurations in astrology.

This is not subtle energy.
This is the sound of structures cracking under the pressure of truth.

I want you to take a look at your birth chart (whole sign house system) and see exactly which houses you will be dealing with. Here’s a little cheat sheet to help you out (by Rising Sign/Ascendant):

  • Aquarius Rising: 1st House AQU/4th House TAURUS
  • Pisces Rising: 12th House AQU/3rd House TAURUS
  • Aries Rising: 11th House AQU/2nd House TAURUS
  • Taurus Rising: 10th House AQU/1st House TAURUS
  • Gemini Rising: 9th House AQU/12th House TAURUS
  • Cancer Rising: 8th House AQU/11th House TAURUS
  • Leo Rising: 7th House AQU/10th House TAURUS
  • Virgo Rising: 6th House AQU/9th House TAURUS
  • Libra Rising: 5th House AQU/8th House TAURUS
  • Scorpio Rising: 4th House AQU/7th House TAURUS
  • Sagittarius Rising: 3rd House AQU/6th House TAURUS
  • Capricorn Rising: 2nd House AQU/5th House TAURUS

This transit activates:

  • The Taurus house in your chart → where stability is being redefined
  • The Aquarius house → where old systems or identities are completing

That’s where the breakthrough (and temporary discomfort) lives.

The Aquarius square Taurus energy says:

“This system no longer works in real life — and pretending it does is no longer an option.”

For example, a Leo Rising person would have their career be the place that is where the progress is being made & where stability is being redefined & their marriage or partnership is the old system that is being completed. This could also mean that a business partnership is needing to be redefined or ended so one’s career or public reputation can move into the future. As always, take it how it resonates with your own life.

1. Sudden disruptions around stability and security

Many people experience:

  • Unexpected changes in finances, work, or resources
  • A breaking point around “playing it safe”
  • Realizing that old definitions of success no longer fit

This can feel destabilizing — but it’s also clarifying.

2. Detachment from outdated group identities

As Aquarius energy completes, people may:

  • Step away from communities, platforms, or movements
  • Feel disillusioned with “collective” narratives
  • Stop outsourcing authority to systems or leaders

The question becomes:
“Does this actually support my life — not just my ideals?”

3. The body becomes the truth-teller

Uranus in Taurus brings awakening through the body:

  • Nervous system sensitivity
  • Somatic wake-up calls
  • A need to ground, slow down, and listen physically

If something isn’t sustainable, the body will signal it clearly under this transit.

Greetings from Toronto, Canada.
What if Taurus is not in one’s birth chart, as is in mine? My birth chart shows:
Aquarius in my 7th house;
Aries in my 10th house (referred to as Midheaven)

Wow MJ! Thank you for this! My body sure signaled to me by presenting shingles. I intuitively knew I needed to leave a group setting and my body gave me the confirmation! Thank you MJ!
